Webserver connection to outside world

Fafner Silver Member Joined: 3/20/2013 Last visit: 3/26/2025 Posts: 676 Rating: (44)	Hallo, depends on the PLC you are using. there are for some PLCs security moduls to build up a VPN tunnel from the CPU to the WWW. in general: you can use a modul like a SCALANCE S to build up a VPN tunnel to the one who is meant to supervise the PLC. That is how i think you should connect the webserver to the WWW. That implicits of course: Don't connect your PLC directly with the router, that will not guarantee any security.
