What are difference of s7 300 and 1200 ?

I have a system with 150 digital tag, and some analogs. I think 1200 is enough for me but what are differenceses s7 300 and between s7 1200?

for a bigger project, why should i use s7-300 ?

In general, S7 300 is more powerful. New models can be programmed in both Simatic Manager and TIA. And are more expensive.

(Opinion follows)

The complexity of the program and the I/O count will dictate
which system you will need.

For process control with several "faster" control loops I would use the S7-300 or even S7-400. The S7-1200 would handle smaller applications and slower acting control loops.

Automation will fall well into the abilities of the S7-1200. The S7-1200 has special abilities built-in such as high speed counting and motion control - the S7-300 normally needs $p€cia£ hardware for that. Distributed control with networked S7-1200 is more easy too.

At the end of the day.. it depends on your application.
Putting the differences in a list might not help you decide which to use.
I would suggest you have a face-to-face to the nearest Siemens agent.
