WHAT ARE REQUIREMENT FOR USING WINCC RUNTIME ADVANCE V13

This is the my first time of trying to make use of normal PC as an HMI for the S7-1200 controller.. I want to know all the necessary software i must install on the PC I intend to use an HMI for me to have a successful connection with S7-1200 controller Apart from Wincc runtime Advance software... Do i need to install any other thing.... Regards, Success.

If you need to install a SIEMENS Sftware PLC on this PC then is a good idea to install Simatic Net Software. But for only HMI WInCC RT ADV is enough. Regards Cristoph

Regards Cristoph Thanks ChristophD, if i get you right.. i only need to install wincc runtime advance and simatic net on the PC i want to use an HMI.. please correct me if i am wrong... and what version of simatic net do i need to install..I want to establish connection to S7-1200 controller. Moreover, is it true that without installing simatic net software i will not be able to connect to the PLC... Regards, Success

I have normaly only installed WinCC RT Adv and this is working (S7-300/S7-1500/SIMOTION), i think it should also work with S7-1200. Regards Christoph
