What are the blocks FC1(DP send) FC2(DP receive) used for

But I think you havn't got one. Am I right? What do you think about using a DP/DP-Koppler? Or have you found another solution meanwhile? Best regards Sabine

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I try to answer question 1. As far as I could think of is S7-Communication not possible in this case. The S7-300 does not allow S7-Communication on PROFIBUS only on PROFINET (industrial Ethernet). So what alternatives do we have for the PROFIBUS Interfaces. Use one as DP Master and one of the CPUs as DP Slave. In this case you may use only one of the CPUs with otherSlaves to exchange IO. The CPU which runs as DP Slave only exchanges logical IO with the DP Master CPU. If both CPUs need to be DP Master use a DP/DP Coupler. This device is DP Slave to both CPUs and allows the exchange of up to 240 Bytes of I/O. You may have to read the manual before that to ensure the structure of the data to be transmitted. I guess this is it for the PROFIBUS side. On the PROFINET side I could recommend the use of one Ethernet CP on the CPU without the PN interface. In this case you may use S7-Communication.
