What are the main advantages of the S7-1500 over the s7-1200?

There are also other limitations to in hardware. To a 1200 series PLC, you can't connect so much profinet I/O devices, as you can to a 1500 series PLC.

    I don't know all of them but the one i am sure is s71500 supports STL and S71200 doesn't.

   When you migrate the block from s7 300 or s7 400 , you will come to know about this one .
