• The Simatic M7-300 and M7-400 was a family of programmable controllers using much of the hardware used today for the S7-300/400 family, but its controllers could be programmed in C with a RT OS named RMOS32. THE M7 platform was abandoned in the late 1990s because of the competition from many such RT programmable systems on the market:
