Hi, Why we call ET 200s IM 151-8 PN/DP CPU as PN/DP CPU without absence of DP port? What is the reason behind this? Thank you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hello; As Gordon and Kurtych have already mentioned, the IM 151-8PN/DP is a CPU with an integrated Profinbet interface and a "potential" Profibus-DP master interface. The firmware functions for Profibus-DP have been installed in the IM CPU, but the interface hardware (optional Profibus-DP module) must be added to make it a functional DP master. See the attached screenshot, for the following manual: SIMATIC ET 200S distributed I/O IM 151-8 PN/DP CPU interface module https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/47409312 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
