What is Difference between ET200S and ET200SP ?

Dear Experts,

I want to communicate ET200S/ET200SP with CPU 1214C.I want know that which hardware is better for accessing I/P & O/P  using Ethernet communication.And How many modules are compatible with this hardware and also want to know the interfacing between PLC and Remote IO ?

The ET200S is the older decentral I/O System which is successed by ET200SP, for a new machine you should use the ET200SP.

What you mean with Interfacing PLC and Remote IO?

The Remote IO have a Interfacemodule(IM) which is connected to the PLC. This can be PROFIBUS or PROFINET.

Thanks for your Help. I want to know that CPU 1214C is compatible with ET200SP hardware and for communication we have to add profinet module (IM) there is no builtin profinet port.

S7-1200 is compatible with both ET200S and ET200SP.

Check the links i provided.
The ET200S and ET200SP are modular I/O Systems.
You have a Interfacemodule for the fieldbus and behind this some I/O MOdules (DI/DO,AI/AO, ....)

Other Systems like ET200AL or ET200eco cimbine a Interfacemodul with I/O in one device , but here you can't plug the I/O modules and must use preconfigured configurations.

The ET 200SP is the actual system. You can select a PROFINET (recommended) or PROFIBUS Head module and then add IO modules.
