what is recommend data transfer software from PC to CNC?

juliusk Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	We have Sinumerik 840C & Sinumerik 810T CNCs, what would be recommend software (from Siemens) to transfer data from PC to these controls? We are now using very old ms-dos application PROCOMM 1.1A and want to switch to application which works in win xp.

Pee Ell Sea Posts: 672 Rating: (57)	Hi, Winpcin is a Siemens product that would do both. Any package that can send and receive data over the RS232 port would work. If you want to back up data from the 840C the package has to be able to accept control characters without interpreting them. Winpcin has a mode to do this.
