What is the diff between CP143 and CP1430

SeanL Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	can somebody advice me on the different between CP 143 and CP 1430 TF/TCP? cani replace CP 1430 with CP 143 or via verse? I was trying to get information (manual and help) on CP 143 (6GK1143-0AB01) but i can't fin any info. can somebody help me on this. thanks in advance regards seanL

Howard Wong Posts: 24 Rating: (3)	Hello, The CP143 uses MAC addressing. The CP1430 TF uses MAC addresses as well. The CP1430 TCP uses IP addressing. In the SINEC CP140 TF communication add on software package, there is a data converter to go from a CP143 to a CP1430 TF. I hope this helps.

SeanL Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Is 6GK1143-1AB01 a CP143 (TCP/IP)or CP143TF? I can't find any information on this card. IF it is a CP143 (TCP/IP) means I could connect it to S5TI500 (thru CP1413) to commucate with Wonderware right?

Look at Configuring S5TI500 I/O Server and TI 505-1434TF for Accessing TI PLC via H1 Connection if this is version TF, and Configuring the Siemens S5TI-500 IOServer to communicate with a Siemens S5 PLC if this is TCP... Just remember Compatibility of the CP1430 TF with the CP1430 TCP... Best regards Hristo Mihalev
