Hello Hatem Eid; If you want to read more on the software and hardware for PCS 7, follow this link to the Industry Mall: https://eb.automation.siemens.com/goos/catalog/Pages/ProductData.aspx?catalogRegion=WW&language=en&nodeid=5309999&tree=CatalogTree®ionUrl=%2f#activetab=product& On the first page, you will be shown an illustration of the hardware components integrated in PCS 7, including S7-400 PLCs as main controllers, Profibus-DP networks for I/O communications, Industrial Etrhernet as plant bus, WinCC as server/client applications for the OS, and more. You will find links to more detailed informationcovering com^ponents for PCS 7 and their integration on the right of the page. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hi PCS7 is intended to be the DCS of SIEMENS.As a DCS which fits process automation in mega scale with lots of analog loops with complicated control algorithm,Special CPU adapted for this demanding job.Special softeare packages included in PCS7(such as MPC)which is specially designed for very complicated process system.check this for an applied application of PCS7 in a glass production line. You can also refer to control with simatic which is description of SIEMENS's different control system. best regards |
