what is the good connection between cpu 314c2dp and tp177b???

luis de lima Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	hello i want to connectcpu 314c2dp and tp177. i have created a simple project which it has only one input and one output. it is integrated with hmi project. i the netpro i have connected this 2 device by an mpi connection. and in the hmi project i hve only one screen and one buttom and one external tag which is realated to the input of my plc. i run the project in cpu and it works normaly. i download hmi project to the tp177b by ethernet. then i made a hmi cable that i conneted this pins 3,5,8. and all of the dip swith on tp177b are in off mode but afterpushing the button in tp177b nothing happen. where is the fault??? plz help

Marcjan Platinum Member Joined: 4/22/2010 Last visit: 2/26/2025 Posts: 5697 Rating: (716)	Hello, first of all, there is no need to add the panel in Netpro, the PLC does not even need to know the panel is connected. second thing, are you trying to set an input by the Panel button? That is not possible, the hardware will overwrite the HMI signal every cycle. So set a Flag or a bool in a DB and try again. regards, Marcjan

If your CPU is not using MB0 as Clock byte you can use M0.0 Cable is o.k( if not that long) plc hmi 3--------3 RS485 B 5--------5 Ground 8--------8 RS485 A For industrial use and for longer cables better use Profibus cable + connectors.
