What is then the right procedure to get all parameters wright after exchanging the powermodule?

Do I need to go through the commissioning wizard and select the wright powermodule and that is all (and download off course)? Or is there a parameter in the expert list I can change? Will othere parameters also need to be adjusted for proper functioning? Is f.I. a new autotuning of the motor required when changing to a new (different power) motor module? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from Replace power module.

Technology Team Platinum Expert Joined: 10/11/2006 Last visit: 3/19/2025 Posts: 5999 Rating: (827)	Hello DavidBrown, As long as the new power module is bigger than the previous one, with the G120 parameterization no negative effect comes up, while the CU is put onto the new power module. The power module ID, and some counters are changing. Carry out an upload and save the parameterization with the new power module. If the successor is smaller than the original one, the hardware limitations of the smaller one becoming active (e.g. current limit). Please consider the max. ration between motor and frequency converter may not exceed 1:4 for the vector controlled modes.

Will in this case some parameters (f.I. current limit) be different then when I do a factory reset and do a new configuration?
