Just saw this post. I would like to share mine too. 1. What motivates you? To become a platinum member or a technical expert in this forum? I started actively looking at the forum three years ago. The motivation come from the knowledge I gained from the expert in the forum like Thunderstorm, Oreca, Mark1507, dchartier. When I do the same, helping others to solve their issue or sharing my own experience, it reinforces my knowledge and makes me have an even better understanding of the system. So, the first point is, sharing is the best way of getting knowledge. The more you share, the more you learn. The second point is, this forum became a place for me to troubleshoot my issue. When I have something not sure, I always search here. So, when I take, I should give too. So I also record down some of the issue I faced and its solution in this forum. This forum became a good database to record down my issue, which is searchable from google and siemens search bar. I hope when someone faced a similar issue like me and google the issue, my thread will become the thread that resolves their issue. Give and take concept, eventually, I will be able to get a lot more by sharing. Third, this forum has given me opportunities to make friends all around the world. We have a common language and interest. There are some of them who add my Linkedin, connect with me, share me their stories and knowledge in other automation systems. My conclusion is, when you contribute, the fruit will not come immediately to you, but it will eventually come to you. I will continue to contribute whenever I can because I strongly believe the give and take concepts. When I give more, I will eventually get more. P/s: I am not a Siemens employee, completely voluntary, I am system integrator who used Siemens System. |
