Hello Mazen; Most of your answer is spot on correct, but I must point out that Profibus PA does not use RS-485 to exchange data. It uses MBP (Manchester coded, bus powered) protocol, under specs for the FISCO model which are the same as used by Foudation Fieldbus. This why a DP/PA coupler (or DP/PA link) is required to communicate with PA instruments fromthe Profibus-DP network.
