what SIWAREX should i use?

The Application was Loss in Weighing Feeder(Continous Feeding System where i have to very the speed of Screwaccording to Weight in my Dosing BIN.) Closed loop system. And for this application you can use one of the followings: SIWAREX FTC If you want to use an integrator on the same PLC rack (ET200-M) SIWAREX FTC weighing module The SIWAREX FTC (Flexible Technology for Continuous Weighing) is a versatile and flexible weighing module for conveyor scales, loss-in-weigh scales and bulk flow meters. It can also be used to record weights and measure force. The SIWAREX FTC function module is integrated in SIMATIC S7/PCS7, and uses the features of this modern automation system, such as integral communication, diagnostics and configuration tools. Siwarexi Gold Expert Joined: 1/4/2007 Last visit: 12/2/2024 Posts: 1152 Rating: (175)	Hello Palestine, If your application is a weighfeeder you can use either the: - Siwarex FTC (for belt-scales) OR - BW500 The Siwarex FTC (for belt-scales) has no PID-controller on board. That means you have to use the PID-controller of the S7-PLC to control the flow. The BW500 has an onbord PID-controller to control the flow. Attached the technical data sheets from both modules. I know it does not have a PID controller, but it have analog output channel, you can program it to send the rate (P201 =1). And then make the PID loop on the PLC. Input to the PID loop is the setpoint rate and the actual rate comming from BW100 and its output is the setpoint speed of a VFC (Variable Frequency Converter) which controlling the motor of the conveyor. Siwarexi The BW500 has an onbord PID-controller to control the flow. But youshouldorder the BW500 with the optional Analog I/O card. Thus because BW500 has only one mA output on the main board (mA output 1). (mA output 2) &(mA output 3) are physically located on the optional mA I/O board. And the outpThus because BW500 has only one mA output on the main board (mA output 1). and the outputs (mA output 2) &(mA output 3) are the only analog outputs that can be set for PID outputs. BW500 Manual P201 mA Output Function Assigns the mA output function for the output selected, outputs 1 to 3 (P201 - 01 to - 03) *Entry:* 1 = rate 2 = load 3 = speed 4 = PID control output* * valid for outputs 2 and 3, only if PID system (P400) is enabled Please see the manual in the link bellow. Milltronics BW500 - Instruction Manual To conclude, if you want to use BW500 as a standalone solution you have to order BW500 with the optional mA I/O card. If not, then you have to make the PID loop in the step-7 software. Hope this helps.

The Belt i have will remain at a constant speed, the material amount will be controled by controling a speed of a rotary valve - Connected via PROFIBUS to an S7-300 PLC- that feeds the belt. i need all the control to be from WinCC. Due to this i have to use SIWAREX FTC, is it correct? [snip] ... Best regards split to: distance between the belt and PLC Cabinet

Hello Palestine, It will work, you will connect the loadcells and speed sensor to the Siwarex FTC. Rate will be measured and you will make a PID for controlling the rotary valve based on the setpoint rate. [snip] ...
