Whats the point of having a delayed emergency stop?

janoshaasz Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hey, I am having a democase (MLFB: 6AG1067-1AA33-0AA0) and it contains a delayed emergency stop. Me and my colleagues couldnt figure it out yet, and we havent fund anything in the manual (beacause it doeasnt have one). So if anyone could answer my question and/or give me a useful manual or product description, please do so. Thanks in advance.

Bronze-Expert Joined: 2/7/2018 Last visit: 3/14/2023 Posts: 181 Rating: (30)	Hi, With the delay you could display the safety function SS1 (Safe Stop 1) in cooperation with STO (Safe Torque Off). For example, you parametrize a waiting time of 2 seconds for SS1 (safe stop delay time), and afterwards the drive will go in STO. That can be displayed with the delay in the LED display. After the delay time is over, STO is activated. STO (Safe Torque Off) means the inverter is "isolated" from the motor and has no control over the motor any more. A "manual" for the S210 demo case is included in chapter 9 of the documentation of the entry 109743134
