Please i have a TIA portal project V13 SP1 installed in Windows Server 2012 R2 64 Bits , everythings working well Exepet the Smart Server !!!!!  when i click to Change Settings of the sm@rtServer , the application Crashes , and i need to cancel it form Windows Task Manager.

Please i need your help because the project need some clients access.

have you installed all available updates?

It could be that the software is not released for windows server 2012. But I am not sure

Dear all,

I have experienced the same issue with a windows 7 installed as a virtual machine on the company server.

I was connecting remotely to the Windows 7 machine. Everything worked fine with sm@rt server until I tried to access the change settings option. Indeed, the sm@rt server "crashes". 

Still, it's not a real crash. It seems that dialog box did opened, but could not see it. I got myself connected to virtualization software on top of which the virtual OS are running and log in to the Windows 7 machine to which WinCC Runtime is running...

The Change settings options dialog was there, but it was available only accessed from the virtualization software....

Is your Windows Server running as a virtual machine?
