When I plug 331-1KF01-0AB0 the SF, DC5V, FRCE, RUN, STOP led are going to ON

AlinNST Advanced Member Joined: 12/12/2009 Last visit: 6/9/2024 Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have a problem with CPU 312-1AE13-0AB0 and SM 331-1KF01-0AB0. In my actual configuration I am using CPU312 with SM321 and SM322. The system is OK. When I want to extend and plug into the rack SM 331 the system is going down and all the led's (SF....) are going to ON.I can't access the system at this point. I tried also with OB122 but no result. The power supply I think is enough, 2.5A. The MMC is 64 K and is clean and new. The bus connector is not the same for all cards? I used the same connector from DI and DO cards. If there is allowed to put that module seems the configuration is correct. After you will need http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/19350076 . When that behavior occured how did you return back the previous healthy state of CPU? Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

AlinNST Advanced Member Joined: 12/12/2009 Last visit: 6/9/2024 Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hello, I am using Step7 V5.4_SP5. With that version the module 331-1KF01-0AB0 is not present in HW Config. After I have done Catalog Update the module is present and I am allowed to place into configuration and download into CPU. At this moment the hardware is on CPU and I don't have errors. I cut the power of the CPU, plug the SM331(in the same position as in hardware config), turn the power ON and now all the system is freezed. I can't get online with PLC to see the Buffer Diagnostic. To return in normal state, unplug the SM 331 and now I don't have errors. I will try with your recomandation. Best Regards, AlinNST

Did you install the black backplane connector together with that module in order to connect it with the previous module? When you downloaded the hardware configuration without to insert physically that module, should have in CPU a SF led is ON. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

When I downloaded the HW config and put the CPU in RUN without the analog card, the SF led is staying ON for 1 second, after that is OFF, I am getting an error in HW Diagnostics(see con_HW.jpg) but the rest of the system is functional. I can get signals from DI...etc. When I clear all the CPU, put the modules without the SM331 I don't have SF on. When I put the SM331 all the LED's are ON.I tested with OB block's that are special for errors. No result. I think that the module is broken. I will try to send back the module to be tested.
