Hello SIOS Forum Community, In some existing plants, SIMATIC controllers of the S5, S7-200 series, but also S7-300/S7-400 of the first generation are still in use today, which have battery buffering (time, remanence memory, etc.). Older SIMATIC HMI panels also often still require batteries, e.g. for buffering the time. Under certain conditions, such as the export or shipment of spare parts or even entire plants, it may be necessary for safety data sheets to be required specifically for buffer batteries installed in machines or also supplied individually. Likewise, the buffer battery is considered a wearing part, which must be replaced after discharge. The following is an overview of the ordering data, safety data sheets and information on product life cycles for the above-mentioned product groups: SIMATIC S5
