Which CPU has the highest speed from S7-300 ?

desmul24 Posts: 378 Rating: (73)	Hello Marko I don't have experiance with VIPA and my project needs high reliability and durability thus I prefer to stick to Siemens. I have got another idea of dividing my program in to two and load on two networked CPU's OR Having one CPU and one FM 352 CAM controller module (i read.FM 352 is high speed programmable controller). Please anyone forward me your ideas on this. Thank You!

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (264)	FM 352 is high speed BOOLEAN programmable controller Thats right - no arithmetics even on INTs As to diving into 2 parts - well implement master-slave on PB or Controller-Device on PN, but dont use S7-connections. Otherwise your communications would be too slow.

gre_m Posts: 947 Rating: (45)	PLC 319 is the 300-th family, and he attach all the shortcomings of the 300-th family of operating system: the operating system only works when OB1. Do any of the 400-msec controller fulfills every part of the operating system. And no matter what the speed was not a PLC, it will be slowed down by a sequence of processes in the operating system. This is the bottleneck of the 300 th plc. Here is an example: To start the transfer function you need to create the front. That means - must be at least twice to call OB1 (executed after the communication OB1), and this response time will be lost. So the best option - Plc running the 400-th. for very high speed can take 412 + FM458. And the fact that the performance of Intel, even in emulation mode is significantly higher Infinion, no doubt worth it.

desmul24 Posts: 378 Rating: (73)	Dear IBN-Service, Thank you and all, The scan time of CPU-319 is 0.004ms/1000 instructions but My application has a lot of mathematical calculations plus real time signal processing of requiring maximum of 2ms sampling time. I am not sure whether this CPU can handle my program or not, I know i can check scan time of every OB's. but do you think it is possible and be 100% sure to check this offline before I purchase this CPU? Thanks again and everytime !
