Which functionality we have regarding multitouch from V12?

coop250 Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Thanks both for your further input. We currently have WinCC V12 but want to use this mutitouch functionality. Ideally we would stay with V12 without going to the expense of changing over to V7.2. It's been mentioned above that some of the functionality is already available in V7.0 and will work with a multitouch screen. Do either of you know what functionality we have regarding multitouch from V12? Kind regards, coop250

The document is completely related to the use of the new TIA Portal V12 with S7-1500, but on the page describing multitouch it mentions V7.2 for 2 fingered multitouch. Although the title of the page is WinCCV12 and multitouch. Could it be the case that the WinCC V12 supports all the multitouch functions shown in the graphic on the left, but WinCC V7.2 supports only 2 fingered multitouch? Kind regards, coop250

Kind regards, coop250 it's confusing indeed, you might be right but to be sure, I think you better ask Support Request for confirmation. As said before, multi-touch monitors do the biggest part of the job itself.

coop250 Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	SteBo, Yes good suggestion. I've just received confirmation from Siemens Support that the multitouch is not supported by TIA Portal V12. Absolutely incredible to me that they go back to previous generations of the platform and then build in modern functionality whilst neglecting to include it in the supposed successor, TIA Portal. But anyway they said it's due for inclusion in later versions of TIA, so the matter is closed. Thanks to you and Bill for your help. Regards, coop250
