We have in my company an inherited PC with "Step7 professional edition 2010 V5.5".
The problem here for me is that I sometimes need to access a HMI-panel.
And what I can see from the Licens Manager and in the Siemens map, is that I dont have a WINCC licens nor a program.

I know for a fact that the person before had access to this program.

So my question is.

Do I need to order a new disc with the right Version and Service Pack?
Or is there a download file that I can retrive from Siemens and use with the Step 7 licens?

 Hello,

Perhaps The PC has a virtual machine on which there is a visualisation program

If you are sure there is no such software, Fisrt you shall identify which panel do you use (better to state the part number)  to choose the correct software package?

Downloadable licenses are available if you have the software but I think in your situation you need to order both software CD and license

 I understand that you have HMI prjects and you need to access them on your PC. First you can try to download Wincc Flexible Trial version to check accessing your project. If you succeded, then you have to order original licensed one.

There are many software for HMI and you need to have the configuration file first so that you can open or edit it, else you can only take an image of the HMI and download it to another one with the same part number.

If you do not have this Configuration file you do not need to get the HMI software

Sorry for the long response time.

I wasn't prepared for a fast response from you guys.

But anyway on this particular machine line I have

- 6AV6 643-0BA01-1AX0
- 6AV3 627-1LK00-1AX0

But it seems from your answers that a new software and licens is the easiest way to go.
