Dear all,

I have been wondering why i can't have multiple version of WinCC Professional at same PC. I want to setup WinCC Professional v17 while i already have WinCC Professional v16 but it is not possible. To setup WinCC Professional v17, i have to unistall WinCC Professional v16 and related sql server. The problem is, i don't know which sql server that i have got to uninstall.Could someone help me to solve the problem ?

The reason why it is not possible to have two versions of WinCC Professional (SCADA) installed in parallel on the same PC is that each version has a database associated with it and there would be a conflict between the two, leading to errors in data management.

The same would be the case if WinCC Professional were installed with WinCC Classic (7.X), which also installs an associated database on the PC.
