Why can't I chang the state of CP443-1 via "run/stop" switch?

hannibar Posts: 52 Rating: (8)	Hi,all Hereare an s7-414 and a wincc via TCP/IP,when I press the "run/stop" switch to "stop" position,guess what?nothing,the wincc can also read and write all data of s7-414,why?[:mad:] The "stop" LED is light,but "TXD" and "RXD" are flashing. So I tested a CP343-1,it's same. Regards, Hannibar

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hi Hannibar, well I guess you use S7 Communication, don't you? If so the actual communication takes place between the CPU and the remote Device. The CP acts only as a relay and the relay works even if the CPU of the CP is is Stop mode. This is due to the fact that the PG Functions also have to work and they use a closely related way.
