Hi hewking103, Unfortunately, the Unified Comfort Panels have some problems with ejecting a storage device. The system function "EjectStorageMedium" only works for the storage media used for logging. The Linux-based operating system keeps the file contents in cache and cannot be forced to write the data easily. There is a scripting solution using the sync command to get the cached data written to the device. Waiting for a longer time will also help, but it is hard to know how long to wait. And of course, rebooting the device will force the system to write the data before it stops. By the way, it is recommended to use an NTFS file system on the stick. Kind regards |

Hi Stefan To begin thank you again for really helpful information regarding this issue. I understand that wincc unified undergoes rapid development and its great that this forum helps a lot in issues so our hair do not go grey too early :) I will try out the script suggested by siemens to some users from the link you sent me but if this will prove not reliable what other options do I have for saving?
