Why is Excitation by two same MAG5100W DN400 different

Hello,

Why is Excitation by two same MAG5100W DN400 different? There is 1.5625 Hz by one MAG and 3.125 Hz by other MAG. It is not possible to change it in Sensor characteristics. Is it sets in Factory?

Where can i find more information about Signal suitability 0-9? In manual is only sort information.

A 7ME6520 DN400 usually has 1.5625Hz factory preset and a 7ME6580 DN400 3.125Hz.

Since transmitter firmware 4.07 you can only change the excitation frequency if you use the hardware key.

(Just shortcut the two blank contacts on top and bottom of the connection board, it is mentioned in the manual).

Regarding the signal suitability function (introduced also in 4.07):

There is not much info about it.

0 = empty pipe, 9 = liquid with very good electrical conductivity.

In principal it measures the impedance between an electrode and ground.

The value also decreases if you have higher flow rates.
