Why only part of the graphic screen displayed?

Danieli Posts: 35 Rating: (0)	The screen settings of my laptop is 1024768, and the WinCC layout settings of the OS-ProjectEditor is set to 1024768, too. But when I do a runtime test, thelaptop only displays part of the screen with vertical and horizontal scroll bars. How can I get a whole display of the screen? Thanks,

(click the back of the screen and select properties) Also... under WinCC Explorer -> Computer check the properties, particularly the ones under the "Graphics Runtime" tab, for a better configuration... Here comes another question: if the monitor setting is 1024768,and the graphic runtime properties is set to Full-Screen. Could winCC adjust the screen size according to the monitor setup? Orin the graphicdesign phase, I should set up the geometry size of the screen according to the monitor setups which I will use for the HMI?

I've used SCADA softwares which adapt to the computer's settings... they use an internal measure for the size of objects, which is a factor of the screen resulotion... however, at least the systems I worked with didn't really handle this too well... the theory was way better than what it came down to! All objects in a screen would have to be re-alligned, and many re-sized, since they lost the proportion.... and the worst is some bitmaps would be ruined... In WinCC you have to set the dimensions yourself, but at least it's a sure setting! No computer setting will mess up your screens... Best regards, Danielle

amateur Posts: 145 Rating: (3)	Hi Danieli, Computer properties -> Graphics Runtime -> Window Attributes => Check only the checkbox of the last option - Adapt Picture. I think it will help. Then, there is a possibility that you might have problems with the "PictureWindows" depending on the monitor you are working. You can handle this by doing the following : In the Tab "Properties" of the "Picture Window" -> Miscellaneous -> adapt size -> Yes. Hope this helps Best Regards

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi amateur, That's a good idea... but if you don't use full screen, other windows may be accessible... when you change to a smaller resolution objects like alarm controls wil have their size reduced, so less data is displayed... and fonts get smaller... I usually use the accurate dimensions, to know precisely what a screen will look like at the customer's system... to adapt size, you should always check how the screens would look at the customer's resolution...
