When all clients (i.e. WinCC RT, OPC Scout) are disconnected from the OPC Simatic.Net server, all server tag values ​​are reset to zero and the server stops. In this case, the zero tag values ​​are also transferred to the PLC (not Simatic one). As a result the PLC terminates controlling the process.

Is it possible to configure the Simatic.Net OPC server so that when all clients are disconnected, the server does not stop and doesn’t reset its tag values?
If it is possible, then with what utilities and how?

The OPC server for SIMATIC NET is started automatically by the operating system when a
client wants to use it. The OPC server maintains reference counters to be able to recognize
when the last registered client is closed. The OPC Server then closes itself down   .……………
