Hello, everybody ! When all clients (i.e. WinCC RT, OPC Scout) are disconnected from the OPC Simatic.Net server, all server tag values are reset to zero and the server stops. In this case, the zero tag values are also transferred to the PLC (not Simatic one). As a result the PLC terminates controlling the process. Is it possible to configure the Simatic.Net OPC server so that when all clients are disconnected, the server does not stop and doesn’t reset its tag values? What to do in order the stopping Simatic.Net OPC server doesn’t reset all tag values in PLC ? Thanks in advance. P.S. See, please, details in an attached file First question is already solved. The OPC server always stops when no one client is connected to it. See : SIMATIC NET Industrial Communication Commissioning PC Stations - Manual and Quick StartConfiguration Manual. Release 06/2011 C79000-G8976-C156-14 4.5.3.2 Forcing the OPC server to close down The OPC server for SIMATIC NET is started automatically by the operating system when a Second question (main) remains.
