Why pcs7's all scada butons are inactive?

We have a plant where scada system is pcs7,I have the step7 and wincc project ( or pcs7 project), I have to watch scada from my computer but I can't. I'm not sure if scada connects to plc or not.. I'm not even sure if pcs7 is updating tags or not. I'm adding a screen capture. can you watch and help me? Normally all the buttons must be active and my wincc starts to running I must see plant. But I see nothing. only grey screen. This is the original project, I copied from cd. Please helpppp Note: You need winrar to open file. When I normally zipped video it became 18mb and I could not upload it. When I zipped with winrar it became 3mb. but siemens forum does not accept rar file format. Silent Bob Posts: 836 Rating: (100)	Hi, welcome to PCS 7. The workflow in PCS 7 is quite different from plain Step 7 and WinCC. First you make your comfiguration in the Simatic Manager where you comfigure your ES, OS, and whatever. You want to use a ES and OS on one computer, its called singlestation. Its the most easy configuration. Then you need to make your technological hierarchie (TH), this is essentially for a PCS 7 project with a OS. Then you make your program using CFC, not directly in the OBs. When your program is compiled, you need to compile the OS. In this step PCS 7 is creating all the OS tags automatically and also placing blockicons in the pictures. In your video I can see, that you don't have any tags of the PLC in your Os Project. Later in the video, in the runtime, I can see, that you don't have any area buttons at the top... So I guess, that you just need to compile your OS(assuming that is was done ion a proper PCS 7 way). Here some questions for you to check: - do you have a TH (using Technological view in Siamtic Manager)? - do you have picures in this TH folders (in the simatic manager, not in the OS)? - do you have projected a connection in HW config / net pro for your OS and your PLC? - did you compile the OS? Additionally have a look into basic PCS 7 documentation to get comfortable with it.
