Wi-Fi problems after TIA Portal installation

AutoGen_1022333 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello, Any time when I have installed TIA Portal WinCC Adwanced, Wifi connection have no internet access. It happens on all my PCs (on Simatic Field PG M4, too). To get internet access I need disable and re-enable adapter in Windows Device Manager. Is there any fix or solution? Best regards, Valdis Bogdāns

ChristophD Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 5/12/2006 Last visit: 4/22/2025 Posts: 22623 Rating: (3060)	Hello, you can try to disabel the installed protocols on the WiFi Adapter which installed with SIMATIC Software: Open "Setting PG/PC" in the Windows Control Panel Open the Tab "LLDP/DCP" and "PNIO-Adapter" in echa Tab uncheck the Wifi Adapter Open the properties of the WiFi Adapter in Windows Network Center Uncheck the Telegrams "PROFINET IO Protocol (LLDP/DCP)" ; "PROFINET IO RT Protocol Vx.y"; "SIMATIC Industrial Ethernet (ISO)" Regards Christoph

Sounds to me as if the network adapter is set to find an IP address automatically (dynamic). May I suggest to set a fixed IP address (internet link) as an alternate IP address? w

I have had this problem several years, and no one can explain why this happends to every PC, where I install Tia Portal. I had to make .bat file, which gives Me temporarily help for the problem. But that does not solve the problem. 1: Make new .txt document to desktop 2: Content of .txt: ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew ipconfig /flushdns pause 3: Save file 4: Modify .txt extension to .bat, (Or save as whatevername.bat) 5: When internet not available on wifi, run this bat as an admin. This helps me.

This helps me. And one more tip: Simatic shell has something to do with the problem. When I select my default connection to wlan at simatic shell, I will have internet connection little bit sooner.
