Win CC Excel Communication

bigbang Experienced Member Joined: 9/16/2008 Last visit: 12/8/2024 Posts: 56 Rating: (0)	I'm using Win CC V6.2. I've communicated my project with Excel by using Win CC tab. I can create Tag, Alarm List, Tag Group, adding new tag to Process Value Archiev from Excel to Win CC but if I want to delete some data from Excel directly I cant able to do. It is giving an error "Win CC Objects may not be deleted using this functions. Can any body give eme some solution?

BaluMegatech Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hai Rabindra, my solution for your problem is 1.) open the wincc Project from excel. 2.) select the entire line you want to delete 3.) right click that line 4.) select the option " wincc -delect selection" 5.) it will be automatically deleted in excel as well as in wincc pls find the attached "Solution.JPG" for sample Thanks, Balu Attachment SOLUTION.JPG (134 Downloads)

However I'm not able to installed the Additional Software like Archive Config Tool V6.2 and Configuration Tool V6.2. How to rectify the problem? Give me some suggestion. Regadrs

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi Rabindra, I can't find any documentation regarding WinCC v6.2's compatibility with MS Office 2007. Maybe it's out there but I'm looking in the wrong places... This was discussed in this thread, where there was no conclusion. Like I said in that thread, I'd also like to know that... I think this information should also be listed in the compatibility list, since Configuration Tool is a widely used tool. I believe Siemens can provide you with this information. Have you tried sending a Support Request? By the way, if you do find the answer, please post it here. Best regards, Danielle
