Greetings I don't know the official reasons for this, but it happens occasionally. Sometimes you can bypass it by manually installing SQL Server (find it on WinCC installation DVD). Sometimes you just can't Also, you could try updating your WinXP to SP3. Even if automatic updates "don't" work, you can download SP3 freely from here:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322389#tosp3 Best regards
