May Posts: 24 Rating: (0)	Hi, We had given Win CC version 6.0 software to customer we dont have right now ,but we want to do some work inthe office. Can I use higher version like V6.0 sp2 /sp4, for the development. Is it possible to open the sp2 /sp4 developed project inVersion 6.0 thanks

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi @Js, As Phantom's said, WinCC's not downwards compatible. To edit the software in the newer version you'll have to migrate it. Once you've edited it in the newer version it'll no longer work appropriately on the older one. If you edit in v6.0 SP4 and try to open in v6.0 SP2 the first thing you'll notice is the trend and alarm controls will be blank. So there are 2 ways of doing this: 1) Use the exact same version the customer has to perform the changes 2) Use the newer version (v6.0 SP4) and upgrade the customer's stations. This is the most adviseable solution, since it's always recommended to use the latest version possible (more bugs fixed). Best regards, Danielle
