WinAC RTX and power lost

Portal Posts: 31 Rating: (0)	Hi everybody, I did a project with few FB. Although I check retain checkbox, stat variable lost they value on power down (return to default). However, if I restart pc and don't cycle power, all value keep data. How I can make my data retentive as a s7-300 does? thanks

You need at least a PC with either UPS or a Siemens IPC with a power supply which sends a 'PowerLoss' signal to the PLC, see manual of WinAC. If the power supply does not support this signal the WinAC does not recognize the power loss and can not save the data.

Portal Posts: 31 Rating: (0)	Go it ! But I don't find how I can start WinLC_Shutdown.exe when the ups battery is low. Manual give instruction for windows Xp only and I run WinAC on Win 7 x32 PRO (Dell pc) any idea? Attachment Pages from winac_rtx_2010_manual_en-US_en-US.pdf (130 Downloads)

So it will run as soon as the user is logged off.

If it is only possible to send a shutdown command to windows configure the shutdown script (see http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc770300.aspx)
