WinCC 6.0 SP4 Client problem

Bennydel Posts: 39 Rating: (0)	We have a WinCC server and 4 WinCC clients and2 of the clients we must restart after a half a day because they are blocked (on WinCC, in Windows there are no problems). I can do only one thing anymore in WinCC and that is the logout script. When I'm operator I get a message no permission, When I'm administrator I get out of WinCC and in Windows everything is normal. The difference between the clientsare (on Windows level): username: operator (good clients) password: operator username: operator (bad clients) password: operator1* When I start the good WinCC clients I don't need any password on windows level to get on the server project. For the bad clients I need to give the password of the server. I am sharing the projectwitheveryone. Can the sharing of the project being the problem?

Maybe (if they are local) only one of them has full access on the server pc. Check your security settings. What do you mean with locked? None of the buttons work? or no dynamics? or what? I for myself have had a few clients that "Freeze" for several seconds up to one minut. Haven't found any reason nor solution for that yet. with regards, Ikkezelf

Today a have changed the password of the "bad" PC's to "operator" instead of "operator*" (like the good ones). --> I don't need to give any password for connecting with the server. But the problem stays: • When I'm busy there are no problems • When I wait30min, the first actions takes 30 sec, after that it goes normal. • WhenI'm waiting aday, I must restart the pc. Note: The 2 good PC's (installedfrom the constructor) have a 64kRT licence, mine onlyhave a 128RT licence.

Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	Hi, I have had exact the same problem on one of my clients. Except for the restart of the pc. It looked to me that it was a scripting problem or maybe the scripting engine. I can't believe that it is a license problem, but I do had a 128rt license on the affected machine aswell. In the end I reinstalled the pc, and the problem was gone. I did not had the time nor patients to investigate the problem in detail. I'm sorry that I can't be of more assistance. You could try to swap the licenses on between a good and a bad pc (just to eliminate this). About the user account problem; You probably have a user "operator" with the password "operator" on the server locally, windows could then see them as one and the same. with domain users you should not have the problem. You could also try to add the machine as a trusted source on the server. with regards, Ikkezelf
