WinCC_6.2 GSC Diagnostic - error messages are not displayed

Error messages of VBScript (everything - for exsample from OLEDB provider or ActiveX components) are not displayed in GSC Diagnostic windowin some PC ( i have itin 2 of 4 PC). All PCs - winXP sp2. Do you known about this problem?

In the first case the following message will appear in GSC Diagnostics window: ============HMIScreenItems============ Application: PDLRT Picture: viz.pdl_Events Function: Sub Circle8_OnClick(ByVal Item) Line: 7 Error: get_Item:The parameter is invalid. In the second case there will not be any (message). In both cases the rest of the script (after a bug) will not be executed. This problem doesn't influence on WinCC runtime but makes the diagnostics difficult.

Hi, In this case did you try to enable "Display error dialog" under Computer properties -> Runtime VBS-Graphics and see if you get the Pop-up dialog? (see attached) The prerequisite for this function is that a Debugger for Visual Basic must have been installed. Dec Attachment message.zip (88 Downloads)

ilya_v Member Joined: 10/17/2007 Last visit: 9/8/2009 Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	I have pop-up dialog (check-box for VBS Debug option - "display error dialog') without install ms script debugger but only on good PC. On bad PC( also no ms script debugger) all of check-boxes set -but i have not pop-up dialog and error messages. And on good PC while Runtime start up - next message " script debugger could not be started". Bad PC hasn't this message.

And for some reason what so ever there was also no debugger installed by WinCC. So I downloaded on the microsoft site te "Microsoft script debugger" and installed it on the server.
