WinCC 7.0 IOField OutputFormat property with faceplate

I have created faceplate with an IOfield As I wish to change Output Format for different analogs I have linked OutputFormat of an IOField outside of faceplate by using "Configure faceplate type". Right! I believed I should be able to sellect output format for each faceplateinstance. Actually in Userdefined of faceplateinstance I can find Format that is linked to IOField inside of faceplate and I can alter that as my original Idea was. However in RT IOField display format assigned within faceplate for every single faceplate instance. Is there anything I should know before I give up??? Any settings? way of dymising it? Very similar problem exist with property Visible of StaticText. I had to use Dynamic Dialog and 0 with Direct Connection. to hide Item. I thought it would be done with Parameter of Faceplateinstance by choosing Yes/No I/OField OutputValue and StaticText Text works correct so I am absolutelly suse that setup is correct.

Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	Hi big_muzzy, You have written quite a few lines in your post but frankly, I cannot understand what exactly is your problem... For starters, you should mention which WinCC/PCS7 version etc. you are using. You know, defining the problem clearly is already halfway towards finding the solution! I hope you'll take my criticism in a positive spirit! For analog values display the format should always be real. You should have an additional field/tag for number of decimal places... Regards

big_muzzy Posts: 48 Rating: (0)	Right! wincc 7.0 problem was with format of io field in faceplate I haveassigned format property of io field adjustable - with EDIT FACEFLATE TYPE as i wanted to use faceplate with different variables (3, 2, 1 none decimal places). So I believed it would be possible to choose only for certain faceplate instance output format in userdefined properties. Anyway I had to use handy tags "999" where I have assigned start value 999 and "999_99" with start value 999.99. I can define output format of io for particular faceplate instance by using those tags and it works. Regarding static text - I do not need to create any tags! I can change text for particular FPTinst by changing static text. So my question is now (as I am not experienced user) is it normal? shoul I be able to define it only with static selection? why I need to use dunamisation for "visible" and"format" and static is good enough fot "text" properties? big_muzzy Posts: 48 Rating: (0)	whoever can help.... I realy do not want to use dynamisation as it significantly slowdown loading of the screen. I will change update cycle as upon change is not necessary.... please take a look at faceplate type config but it looks fine for me and should work as I described.
