WinCC 7.0 Multiclient System Logon

Mr Oskar Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hello All, I have a problem with a migrated Multiclient Project. When I try to log on to WinCC from my 2 WinCC Clients, the System Logon Window pop up, and I have to give in username and password to get my WinCC Client running. How can I avoid this. My configuration is as follows. 1 WinCC Server - Running on a Windows 2003 Server 2 WinCC Clients (without own data) - Running on Windows XP SP 3 WinCC installed is WinCC v7.0 All computers are logged in with the same username and password, and I have no problem accessing the project from the clients, but I have to give in username and password when opening or starting the projects on the clients. The project that I am running are a migrated WinCC 5.x project. Can anyone tell how to avoid this System Logon message when starting up my WinCC Clients? Regards Oskar

A solution could be make run a script to check if NO user logged and set a default user. There are a lot of example there. One more: "WinCC v7.0 is not released for Win Xp XP3, but only WinCC v7.0 + SP1" Regards

If I understand right, after he migrated his V5.x to V7.0, he is encountering a Windows login every time he tries to connect to the client... WinCC V7.0 is not released for SP3 according to the compatibility matrix. See following FAQ: How do you uninstall SP3 of Microsoft Windows XP? Regards Added: Apparently recently released SP1 for WinCC V7.0 supports WinXP SP3. You can download the SP1 from following link: Service Pack 1 for WinCC V7.0
