WinCC 7.0 Patches or Hotfixes?

praveenpaul Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi forum users. I am unable to find any downloadable patches or hotfixes for WinCC 7.0. We are having some issues with our setup which involves two redundant WinCC 7.0 Servers with 7 WinCC RunTime Clients. The Servers are running Windows Server 2003 R2 and we are having problems downloading the WinCC project to the Servers from the Engineering Station (the download works fine if we use a Windows XP machine as a Server instead). Thus we want to ensure that we are up to date with any hotfixes or patches.

Not everyone get a Hotfix from Siemens...but...here is a tip... - contact the siemens costumer support and ask for this, maybe you have a good day Good luck... regards manfred

The link to the patch you have posted is for PCS 7.0 and from the text there it seems as though the patch is for WinCC 6.2 (see text at the bottom of the article "Please note that after installing a WinCC V6.2 Hotfix < HF9, the supplied patch must be reinstalled") I am specifically looking for patches for WinCC 7.0 as it seems there are very few people using this and we are experiencing some issues. I have sent an email off to Siemens Support asking them for any patches and will post any findings here.

praveenpaul Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	according to siemens support WinCC 7 does not have any hot fixes at present. Although they will be releasing SP1 sometime in February 2009. On another note, we managed to fix the problem by doing a complete clean install on the servers. We later found that it has to do with some SQL permissions on the folder and you can solve the problem by simply deleting the shared project folder on each server and recreating a new folder.
