Hi,

I have migrated WinCC 7.0 project to 7.2 without any error.
Then i tried to migrate it to 7.4, Migrator didn't work, giving that message "Project is already up-to-date".

So i opened the project directly on the WinCC 7.4 SP1. After that, i converted all the objects using "convert function" on the WinCC explorer.

I made a copy of this project using project duplicator --> "Save as" with the same project name.

When i try to migrate this project on "Migration to TIA Portal V15" program, it gives the message "failed to migrate source project". The problem is that it didn't produce any log file so that i could't find the problem. Or maybe i don't know where to look for this log file?

I tried this migration without success. So i continue with V7.4.

I'll be pleased if you could migrate it, pls share the solution with us.

The problem was that, it did not start the migration, so it could not create a new migrated project. That mean i could not see the log file.
The solution was very simple. Change the windows and non-unicode language to english, and the location to USA. After these changes, it worked. :)

But TIA did not inform about this problem during migration, it's annoying...

We can migrate WInCC V7.4 SP1 projects to TIA Portal V15. Look in the "Logs" folder in your project

there should be logfiles also for the Migration.
