WinCC 7 - autocad drawing problem

Insausti Posts: 150 Rating: (2)	i just install WinCC 7, i want to show an autocad drawing in one screen via an OLE Element, as i was used to do in WinCC 6, but the quality of the image is very poor, like a bit map, in WinCC 6 the image looks the same as you see it in Autocad. Could someone tell me where could be the catch??

how come Posts: 382 Rating: (47)	Dear Insausti, I have this problem before. What I did was make a printscreen of the autocad drawing and paste into paint brush. Then save as *.bmp and import to WinCC. Hope this helps. with regards, how come?

Insausti Posts: 150 Rating: (2)	First of all thank you for your replay. I have already consider that option, since quality is not so bad as far as you don't zoom in. It is also necesary to insert the bmp in WinCC with the same dimensions as you have it on paint brush, otherwise quality is very bad. Also inserting a bmp you get a solid background which it is not very confortable for further desing on the screen. In WinCC v6 i could insert directly an Autocad drawing using OLE object, the picture as i said looks same as open in autocad even when you apply to it maximum zoom, it was also inserted with a transparent background what i find very useful. The question is why in WinCC v7 I'm not able to do the same, anyway right now i have opened a Support request with Siemens Technical support, if they give me a satisfactory answer i will post it here.

Insausti Posts: 150 Rating: (2)	I found another way to insert autocad drawing in hte wincc v7.0 Graphic Designer with the proper quality image. What i do is ,in Autocad, export drawing as metafile (.wmf), then in the Graphic Designer i introduce it using a graphic object, i like this solution because having a graphic object you can set the background as transparent, so if you are adding some more objects to your picture you could place them freely around or over the inserted drawing, looking the result much better.
