WinCC Advanced V13 SP1 WinCC Basic V13 SP1 – Simple Sample: Discrete Alarm

Description:

In this sample an alarm message will appear when clicking on the button.

Alarm messages are an important tool for operation diagnose of process and system events. There is many variations about alarm and alarm view object settings. Here there is two variants of then.

Requirements:

WinCC Advanced V13 SP1.

Configuration main steps:

• Create a UInt tag (Project Tree → Show all tags-> <add new>, Name = HMI_Tag_1, Data Type = UInt)

• Open HMI Alarms → Tab “Discrete alarms” → <Add new>

• Select the line, Properties → General: Alarm Text = “Alarm 0 active”; Trigger: Tag = “HMI_Tag_1”, Bit = 0

• Open a screen

• Place a button

• Properties → Events → Click → Add function

• Choose “InvertBitInTag” (folder “Edit Bits”, Tag Input/Output = created tag, Bit 0)

• Place a Alarm View (“ToolBox” → “controls”)

• Properties → Toolbars → check option “Acknowledge”

Alternative steps:

• Alarm View → Properties → Display → check “alarm buffer”
