WinCC Alarm Count

aorange Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi All, I have been searching the forum trying to find a way to count the total number of alarms in a system and the number of unackknowledged alarms. I have migrated a project from WinCC 5.1 to 6.2 and the current C-Scrip that was doing this job started displaying the wrong values after the migration. Any ideas on why this is ocurring? The scripts that were counting the number of alarms were the following: CMN_ERROR Error ; DWORD dwCount ; MSRTGetMsgQuit (&dwCount ,&Error); sprintf(ret , "%ld",dwCount); return ret; ----------------------------------------- CMN_ERROR Error ; DWORD dwMsgService, dwCount; MSRTGetMsgActual (&dwCount ,NULL); sprintf(ret , "%ld",dwCount); return ret; Please don't tell me to just go and buy ODK... I am trying to figure out why the script stoped working correctly after the migration and if can be modified to work again. Or is there another way of counting alarms in WinCC 6.2? aorange Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi Badbit, Thanks for replying.. the answer would be no, the alarm display is not working correctly and I think this is the underlying cause for the alarm count not working. I cannot figure out what is wrong with the alarm display though, alarms that have been cleared out keep comming back as active. I have the "old" SCADA with WinCC 5.1 running alongside the new WinCC 6.2 system, both are connected to the process PLCs via Profibus. On the "old" SCADA, once an alarm has been acknowledged it goes away as it is supposed to but on the new system they come back after a while. I have also noticed that a lot of alarms have the same timestamp. I know this is a bit off-topic, but.. any idea why this could be??
