Daniel1983 Posts: 25 Rating: (0)	Hi, Is it possible to record the valuesin fields which occur in thehit listof a WinCC Alarm Control (suchas Frequency and Sum +/-) in an Archive Report for including in a report? It seems that I can only add Message Blocks.

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Yup! From WinCC v6.0 SP3 on you have the "Hit List" functionallity. What this does is provide alarm statistics, such as the amount of time each alarm happened and average duration. You can set a time interval for those statistics, so they're pretty useful!

Danielle and Marcio: Yes, I have the Hit List function, but as far as I can tell, there is no way to have these statistics in a report. (i.e. they can only viewed in the alarm control window in runtime).Is this correct? Nemo: Maybe that add-on can help, but is there no way to do this in standard WinCC? By the way I have V6.0 SP4.

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi!! Unlike analog values, statistics cannot be simply logged upon an event: they need intervals. I believe the reason why Hit List isn't logged is the fact that you can choose the time interval to query. With that it's more than just a simple log:the system wouldhave to log the values obtained after doing a query on a fixed interval (like: if you had set for a daily log every day at the set time the system would have to check the statistics for that interval and log it). What are you trying to implement? A report with the amount of times a certain alarm happened in, for instance, each day? Depending on what feature you're in need of, you may gmsgfunc, whichis executed whenever an alarm occurs. You can useit to trigger the log whenever one particular alarm happens, if you only need to do this for one or a few alarms, but I think this wouldn't be a "clean" solution anyway. If you need something more complex (and I believe you do), like statistics for all alarms, and printing the hit list isn't enough,I can't think of another way besides using an add-on. Any query on the database to create your own hit list on a log would demand a lot of programming, and license to query the database. Does anyone have other ideas?

And I would recommended the use of Connectivity pack for to do more complex reports. Well, a simple CTRL+C/CTRL+V of documentation of Connectivity pack. The sintaxe to be used with ADO.RecordSet Object: ALARMVIEW:SELECT * FROM <ViewName>[WHERE <Condition>...., optional] Where: ViewName: Name of the database table. The table has to be specified in the desired language. The "ViewName" for the five European language is e.g.: AlgViewDeu: German alarm message archive data ALGVIEWENU: English alarm message archive data ALGVIEWESP: Spanish alarm message archive data ALGVIEWFRA: French alarm message archive data ALGVIEWITA: Italian alarm message archive data Condition: Filter Criterion, e.g.: DateTime>'2003-06-01' AND DateTime<'2003-07-01' DateTime>'2003-06-01 17:30:00' MsgNo = 5 MsgNo in (4, 5) State = 2 DateTime permits absolute time statements only. Well, is possible to make a function that receive 4 parameters (MsgNumber, Status, BeginDate, EndDate), and this function will return in a struct the statics of this message, making any kind of statics that he needs. And is possible the use of the Hit List with the CP, using: *AlarmHitView: SELECT FROM <ViewName>[WHERE <Condition>]** Well, as the struct of recordset returned by query is very big, I don't posted here, but is is easily found in the fields of recordset,and the names are intuitive goods, at least for the need to create statistics. I love the connectivity pack. I admit.

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Add-ons are really useful! The problem is customers don't usually wanna pay... but several times if you compare the add-on cost to the alternative engineering cost, the add-on may prove to be the best option!
