If you have lots of tags it will not work correctly. It will brig a big lag on tag refreshing and it will not work with Web Navigator. Also you can't use it without any license. There is license available on Siemens, but it is supported only on WinCC v5.0. I have had this issues and I was forced not to use this driver and use OPC instead. There is modbus driver available for WinCC v6.0 (don't know how about v6.2). See this link: http://www.allmendinger.de/002_RK/WinCC/FrameIndex.htm But I think that the best way is to use OPC . I had problems with it and I recommend using OPC server like Kepware Ex. I can send you old modbus driver if you still want to.

I want to mention that almendinger.de is old driver and there was no updates long time. Better is to use OPC server.

I want to test wincc 6.2 with a Disomat B Plus weigher that support modbus communication. I haveWincc 5.1 with a Modbus protocol suite in channel folder of Wincc CD. Regards HMHE
