wincc archiving

orhan_cerkesli Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have a little question. I looked all of the forum, but i couldn't find enough answer. I'm using Wincc with Inat_OPC server, my computer allows to see only 15 days archive backup, but every month i copy all wincc files for the backup, and i wan't to see archived trends. I tried to copytag logging from my archive to actual wincc(archive manager/tag logging fast-slow). When i start runtime archived trends don't seen. Is it possible or not, if it is possible how? Thanks for yourkindly helps

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi orhan, It is possible, but you must link the archives. For Tag Loggin archives: Open TagLogging, expanding the "Archive Configuration". Right-click "TagLogging Fast" or "TagLogging Slow" and select the option "Link archive". Then browse the archive you wish to link. For Alarm Loggin archives:Open Alarm Logging, expanding the "Archive Configuration". Right-click "Message Archive" and select the option "Link archive". Then browse the archive you wish to link. The linked alarms will be made available for trend and alarm controls. To disconnect the archives you must follow the same procedures, but select the "Disconnect from archive" option instead. Username Posts: 19 Rating: (1)	Hi There is a simple, convenient and fast way to connect multiple archive segments a time using C Script in WinCC7.0 (don't know if it works in another versions). You need to create .BAT file (for example, c:\connect.bat) with following text: move c:\Old_Path_To_Database_Segment1\Database_Segment1.mdf c:\Your_Project_Folder\CommonArchiving\DatabaseSegment1.mdf move c:\Old_Path_To_Database_Segment1\Database_Segment1.ldf c:\Your_Project_Folder\CommonArchiving\DatabaseSegment1.ldf ... move c:\Old_Path_To_Database_Segment99\Database_Segment99.mdf c:\Your_Project_Folder\CommonArchiving\DatabaseSegment99.mdf move c:\Old_Path_To_Database_Segment99\Database_Segment99.ldf c:\Your_Project_Folder\CommonArchiving\DatabaseSegment99.ldf Don't forget to specify your path and names instead of sample path and names. You can write contents of this .bat file in C Scripts if you need to provide dynamic archive connection. Then just execute it in C Script with ProgramExecute("c:\\connect.bat"); After that, if you are getting data in wincc using OnlineTableControl, all you need is to re-open picture with it (like switching to another picture and then switching back) or refresh it by some other means, and you will be able to access archives you moved in "CommonArchiving" folder. You don't even need to stop the runtime! Attention! If your archive segments are on different disk than your project folder, then please remember that moving files will take some time.
