WinCC Basic V13 SP1 – Simple Sample: Recipes

“Simple Samples” are small projects that demonstrate simple features. The target is give a quick overview about the theme and be used as start point for related discussions. Follow there are a short description and the configuration main steps.

Description:

In this simple sample, it is possible to work with recipes (create, edit, upload, download), with the help of recipes and standard objects.

Requirements:

WinCC Basic V13 SP1.

Project with a minimum configuration (stop button, tags, etc. - in this simple sample the WinCC already output values of a S7-1200 controller (PLC_Tag_1, PLC_Tag_2 and PLC_Tag_3 – they are the focus of recipe operation).

Configuration main steps:

• Duplicate the controller tags definition on HMI tags table (it is necessary to have a specific tag name definition to be used just for Recipes management – or alternatively, to uncheck the option “synchronization” on Recipe properties – see below ). HMI tag table → select the tag (here PLC_Tag_1, PLC_Tag_2 and PLC_Tag_3 HMI_Tag_1) → Ctrl+C → Ctrl+V → rename the new tags

  as desired (in our example, PLC_Tag_1(recipe), PLC_Tag_2(recipe) and PLC_Tag_3(recipe))

• Create a recipe (Recipe_1: project tree → HMI → Recipes → Recipes → <add new>

• Set the recipe properties (Properties → General → Communication → Communication Type = Tags)

• Create one Element for each controller tag (hidden tab – see images – elements → <add new> - in our example Element_1, Element_2, Element_3)

• Set the Elements properties (Basic Settings → Tag → Controller tag - in our example Recipe_Element_1 = PLC_Tag_1(recipe), Recipe_Element_2 = Recipe_PLC_Tag_2(recipe), Element_3 = PLC_Tag_3(recipe)).

• Create Data Records (each data record represents a group o element (tag) settings).

• Place a Recipe View element on a Screen (Toolbox → Controls)

• Configure the Recipe view (properties → General → Recipe = Recipe_1)
