WinCC C-actions are not triggered

Teukros Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hello everyone, I have recently upgraded a WinCC multiuser application from WinCC v6.2 to WinCC v6.2 SP2. The application, before it was converted was running like a charm. In order to avoid any surprises, I setup a brand new Simatic IPC as the WinCC server, with the operating system and the WinCC v6.2 SP2. This new computer got a different name and the WinCC project was converted. Since then, strange things happen. The application used 5 C-action scripts, which were triggered by the change in the values of several tags from the PLC. The actions were placed under the local C-actions' folder of the server and not under the global C-actions. Before the transition to v6.2SP2, these actions were triggered and executed. Now they do not. Even if I can see the values of the PLC tags changing the C-actions do not trigger at the server. The strange thing is the fact that when I moved a couple of the C-actions from the server to the client I use for development (same versions everywhere), the scripts execute without any problem. If someone of you have experienced something like this or you can share some of your thoughts, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you all for your time to read my post. Teukros

Darius, I have already checkedthe Global Script Runtime checkbox (it is checked, and the problem exists only with the C-actions, VBS-actions and all other C and VBS scripts run without any problem). Also, I can see all C-actions starting during the initialisation of the runtime, handlers are assigned, etc.). Palmerita, I had regenerated the headers a couple of times. Please keep on posting !!!!

Try to create completely new tag and completely new C action which source code is totaly different from those which don't work and try then. If it will not success then try completely new simple project with one C action. If this will not work then I can suggest only reinstall of WinCC

Teukros Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hmm, this sounds familiar. I can not roll-back to the previous system (how typical)!!!... so, it seems that I have to install everything from scratch...again. New PC, recreate the WinCC application, the whole lot.... Jolly good!!!! I will justify my professional existance to my employer for at least the next couple of weeks. Anyway, thanks for your comments guys, I really appreciated it! I will leave the post open, just in case some more ideas will arrive in the mean time that I will enjoy myself installing the brand new, fresh and hopefully functioning system .
