WinCC C-Script: compiler or interpreter?

Are you sure about this ? I don't know, but I can't believe that ANSI-C can be interpreter. Its very interesting to know is it really interpreter. I allways thought that it is still compiler even in WinCC.

First, any of the languages of the group C has always been considered the compiler. Secondly, if we take the definition of the compiler and interpreter, the С, which is used in WinCC, for a number of features can be attributed it to the compiler.

kid_26 Posts: 37 Rating: (0)	Hi, From my understanding, programming languages like Perl and Ruby are considered as interpreter. The concept of interpreter is that you can edit part of the code without the need of "recompiling" the whole code as in normal programming language like C or Java. Regards, Kid
